The Best Thing I’ve Done for My Business Lately

Hey friends!

It is 10:55PM on Saturday night and I just received notification of a client booking a Discovery call. Since this is the now becoming a regular occurrence, I’ve decided that my latest implementation is the topic of this post.

Topic: Automated Scheduling

Before

  1. A client would let me know that they were interested in booking or I’d need to set up a design meeting.

  2. The client sends their free times or asks me for my availability.

  3. I respond with my availability or ask them for their free times.

  4. We agree upon a time.

  5. I’d check in (or they’d check in) closer to the time to confirm the meeting.

  6. The day of the meeting, I’d send a zoom link.

It wasn’t a bad system, but it also wasn’t great!

After

  1. The client visits my website.

  2. They click “Book a Discovery Call.”

  3. They see my full availability.

  4. They select a time that works for them and receive email confirmation that includes a Zoom link and pertinent details.

It is an all around win!

Not only have I enabled immediate scheduling available for Discovery Calls, but clients and prospective clients can also book:

  • Ask me anything sessions

  • Strategy sessions

  • Design meetings (for contracted clients)

  • Maintenance meetings (for contracted clients)

Users select their time and make payment, where applicable.

Using this system, I’ve:

  • Saved time!

  • Made life easier for my clients

  • Expanded my services to include Ask Me Anything and Strategy Sessions.

  • Set times for various services giving me a better handle on my schedule.

I will also be unveiling some new Website Maintenance Plans for my clients which include a monthly maintenance meeting.

Can you tell that I’m excited?

I’m so excited that I forgot to mention the name of the software. I’m using Acuity Scheduling from Squarespace!

The funny thing is that I’m not really new to the Acuity system. Long before Squarespace acquired Acuity, I had integrated Acuity into my husband’s business website, Guillermo Language Services. More recently, I’ve helped a private instructor use Acuity for private lessons and a life coach use it for their consultations.

I can’t believe I waited so long to use it for myself!

Don’t wait like I did. If you need to automate your scheduling, please reach out to me (using the scheduler) to add Acuity scheduling to your Squarespace website. You’ll be so pleased with the results.
