Three Choices That Build Trust in Your Dance Website
You work hard to demonstrate professionalism in all that you do. Make sure your website reflects your efforts.
1. Move beyond the free domain.
Does your website domain contain .wix, .squarespace, .weebly, .wordpress?
If so, you’re using the complimentary domain that companies provide upon using their services.
It is perfectly fine to use this if you have a personal blog or a hobby.
But, if you have a dance studio or you are a dance brand (teacher, choreographer, freelance performer) make the investment in your own domain.
You are asking people to invest in you. Show them that you are willing to invest in yourself.
This post can help you select a domain.
2. Remove “Powered by” or the name of the free provider in the footer
Are you in a paid partnership with your website builder?
No?
Then, why are you giving them free advertising space on your website?
On your website, your branding should be the number one focus. Remove the branding that doesn’t belong to you.
Depending on the service you use, this may require a plan upgrade. It is 100% worth the effort.
3. Use domain email instead of personal email
Which company are you more likely to send an email to:
(1) mydancenerd @ gmail.com
-OR-
(2) info @ mydancenerd.com
The answer is #2.
Why?
Because we trust it.
Unfortunately, there are too many spammers and illegitimate companies that use free email addresses.
You can build trust in your studio or dance brand by displaying and utilizing domain email.
If you use Squarespace, you can get one year free of professional domain email through Google Workspace with select plans.
Make these simple choices and begin building trust within your audience. When a website visitor trusts you, they’re more likely to stay on your site, learn more about your brand, and purchase from you.
